Friends and Fans rally to support Our Tim after Storage Fire

Following the devastating storage unit fire that destroyed nearly all of Tim Watson’s belongings, friends, fans, and the wider community have come together to support Our Tim in his recovery. A JustGiving page was set up by his friends to help replace lost materials, equipment, and cherished personal items, and it has already raised more than £1,000 - a gesture that Tim has described as overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

Tim had moved into the storage unit just two days before the fire, which broke out in an office within the same building and quickly gutted the entire facility. The blaze claimed a £5,000 PA system, all merchandise and branding, rare car parts, and personal treasures, including his beloved slot car collection, which he had been building and curating for more than 30 years. While the loss of these items is significant, thankfully no one was injured in the incident.

In a heartfelt YouTube update, Tim reflected on the loss and the incredible support he has received:

“I’m overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of so many people. While there are far more worthy causes than me, the donations and messages of support will make a huge difference as I prepare for the 2025 show season. I remain very, very grateful to everyone who has reached out.”

The response from the community highlights the friendships and connections Tim has built over the years. Contributions from the Club Calibra community in particular helped replace some of the branded materials lost in the fire, proving that even a car can bring people together in unexpected ways. For Tim, this outpouring of support has been both moving and inspiring, reminding him that while material possessions can be replaced, the care and generosity of friends and fans is priceless.

Despite this setback, Tim remains focused on his work as a presenter, event compere, and content creator. Known for his positivity, authenticity, and dedication, he continues to plan for upcoming events and shows, determined to rebuild and move forward.
