Charity

Mental Health Motorbike Logo

Giving back is the very essence of what I do. Not just to my audiences, but for worthy charities and causes.

Whether it’s through fundraising, raising awareness, or simply using my platform to support causes that matter, charity work is something I take seriously. It’s a way of using the reach I have - on stage, online, and in public - to try and make a difference beyond entertainment.

One cause particularly close to my heart is mental health. I have worked to overcome my own personal challenges since I was a teenager and the lived experience of going through some very dark and difficult times drives much of what I do today. Not as an escape, but as a way to give others a moment of brightness, because I know how much that can matter.

While some may assume that performers are immune to the struggles they don’t see, I know firsthand how powerful and painful those internal battles can be.

Mental Health Motorbike

This is why I am proud to support Mental Health Motorbike. Their mission to train and place a mental health first aider in every town and city across the UK is something I deeply believe in. I’ve completed the training myself, and it’s been genuinely life-changing - not only for my own growth, but for the many people I’ve been able to support since.

They do this by making mental health first aider training far more accessible. The course can be completed from home over four evenings, and thanks to heavy subsidies from Mental Health Motorbike, the cost is reduced by more than 85%. Once completed, the training equips you to recognise the often-overlooked signs that someone may be struggling. Put simply, it could enable you to save a life - by noticing when something’s wrong, and knowing how, when, and what to do to support them.

This is why you will find the Mental Health Motorbike logo on my shirt at every event and in every video I present. I wear this with pride to promote the charity but also as a message: mental health matters, and that it's okay to talk.

Mental health is still widely misunderstood, and too often misrepresented. It's a genuine, life-altering illness that can be devastating when left unsupported. The more openly we discuss it, the more we break down the stigma and misunderstanding that still surround this life-altering condition.

Whether you're a fan, a follower, or someone considering working with me, I hope this gives you a deeper insight into why this work and this charity matters so much to me.
